Anonymous asked: I actually really appreciate this. I have people always telling me to not get tattoos because i won't ever find someone who will love them like I do. Well, my two best friends prove that wrong, but this proves that it doesn't matter if you're inked up, someone's gunna love you in the end.
my boyfriend has ZERO tattoos and he loves mine. he actually went with me to get my latest one. don’t EVER listen to someone who says you can’t be loved for any reason! That’s just cruel! I know a lot of older folks still see them as “trashy” cause, let’s face it, back then they were, but today’s society is totally different. If you like them, who cares? It’s YOUR body. My aunt is very traditional and asked me what I’d do if I ever got married cause I have wings on my back and I want an open back dress. I said “If I’m marrying a man who would ask me to cover my tattoos at our wedding, then I wouldn’t marry him.” Someone asking you to put away your art is like asking you to put away part of yourself cause it’s too (insert word here). You’ll run into the occasional narrow minded person who asks how you’ll ever get a job or the like, but just ignore them.
My ONLY advice is this: I work in a place where they don’t care if I have tattoos and it also happens to be a very professional environment. That’s rare. I would keep them off your neck, hands, even lower arms for now if you’re still job hunting. Don’t get a “job killer” tattoo unless you know your company is ok with it.
Good luck! You are loved!
